Who is Julien and why the World Wide Photo Wall?

Hi, I'm Julien, the founder of the WorldWidePhotoWall and youSquare.Com. A little bit about me. I have spent the better part of my life traveling and living different places from Australia to Los Angeles. By age 20 I had attended three universities, played college football, became a pilot, and lived in multiple countries. Currently I live in Southern California, where I am finishing college. I have learned many things from my experiences and have always enjoyed meeting new people and creating new connections. One thing I noticed was that the smile is a universal symbol of happiness, no matter where you are in the world the smile symbolizes friendliness and the acknowledgement of another human being. The World Wide Photo Wall was created on the basis of social friendliness and business creativity. I needed to launch my new website youSquare.Com but I knew how difficult it was to launch a business when you are a college student and don't have an advertising budget. With this in mind I wanted to not only launch youSquare.Com but I wanted to do it in a way that everyone would enjoy, from the everyday person to the very large business, and it had to have meaning.

The World Wide Photo Wall came to life for a number of reasons, however a large part was due to my love of connnecting with people. It is a small thing, but it came to my attention that people really don't acknowledge each other anymore or even share a simple hello with a stranger. I believe the reason for this is not because people want to be unfriendly, but we all just get caught up in life and the stresses of life. The World Wide Photo Wall was created as a place to promote being friendly. What better way to do this than to provide a fun opportunity for the people of the world to share their good times, and experience the unique feeling of having their photo on a Billboard in Hollywood, a city famous for being famous .

In order for you to have your photo in Hollywood we will need advertisers on the WorldWidePhotoWall. That's why we came up with a truly unique advertising opportunity. Advertising is the key to business transactions. Not only did I want the World Wide Photo Wall to be a social site but I wanted it to be a unique advertising opportunity for the business world. How does it work?

It's Simple:
Just choose a Square of your choice.
You will then upload an image for your Square.
Then you will link your Square to a page about you, such as your Blog or Myspace page
To finish up you will upload your photo to be displayed on the Hollywood Billboard. This can be done at anytime. We will inform you when the deadline date is set.
Now all you have to do is send all the people you can to the WorldWidePhotoWall.Com and tell them to click on your Square.
Upon completion of the WorldWidePhotoWall the 9 Squares with the most unique clicks will get a LIFESIZE photo on our Hollywood Billboard Spectacular..

How long will the World Wide Photo Wall be active? When and where will the Billboard be displayed?

The WorldWidePhotoWall.Com is guaranteed to be online until 2010, however our intentions are to keep the "Wall" active indefinitely. The World Wide Photo Wall will most likely be around for many more years.

The Hollywood Spectacular will be displayed on the Hyatt Hotel on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. As you know there is no way to predict when the World Wide Photo Wall will be complete, in turn we cannot set a date yet. However, the Hyatt has two identical Billboard Spectaculars, the Hyatt East and Hyatt West, and once the wall is complete we will print the WorldWidePhotoWall on the first available Billboard. Once printed, your Hollywood billboard will be be up for one month. We can't tell you which month because it depends on when the Photo Wall is complete and when the Billboard is available. The quicker we fill the "Wall", the sooner your photo will be in Hollywood. Don't forget, we need those advertisers.

Can I really have a life size photo on a Hollywood Billboard? and How do I get my Lifesize photo?

Absolutely. Having your photo on a billboard is cool, but having a lifesize photo is a true experience. That's why I decided to make this opportunity available to the 9 people who have the most clicked Squares. Once the Photo Wall is complete and all of the ad spaces are sold we will book the first available Billboard on the Hollywood Hyatt. Upon setting our billboard date and printing deadline we will inform you of the last date we will be counting clicks. After this date we will contact the people with the 9 most clicked Squares. These lucky 9 will have their own 6 ft high by 6 ft wide photo in the center of the Billboard. So get out there and get your clicks. Don't forget, you can keep track of your clicks by scrolling over your Square.

What are the Letters and Numbers around the "Wall" for?

The Letters and Numbers around the Photo Wall are your Square Coordinates. For example my Square is "A1" and I can tell all of my friends to go to my Square at "A1". This way people know where to find your Square. There aren't enough letters in the alphabet so we color coded the letters. For example, your Square might be "Blue B2".

Can I Click on my square over and over in order to get more clicks?

Sorry, clicks are only counted by "unique clicks", meaning each click must come from a different person. So go out there and get all the clicks you can. This applies to both the People Squares and to the Advertising squares.

How do I upload my photo for the World Wide Photo Wall Billboard?

Once you have secured your online Square, you then must upload a 9 inch by 9 inch headshot, (a big photo of your smiling face). Please submit your photo using this SUBMISSION FORM.

How many Squares are there?

There are 4,696 Squares on the World Wide Photo Wall. depending on how things go we may add a 2nd page. The second page will not be printed on the Billboard, only the first page will. However the people on the second page will be eligible to receive a life size photo on the Billboard if they are in the Top 9 for highest clicks.

I am having problems viewing the website?

We designed and built the WorldWidePhotoWall to run on the latest versions of internet browsers. If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, or any other browser you may have some issues while viewing the site.
